Our fully calibrated 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos HE dubbing studio has been professionally set up to ensure the best compliance with other systems and distributors delivery specifications for home entertainment content and to enable designing and premixing theatrical content in this exciting format.
But what is a mixing room without the people mixing in it? We have the experience and know-how to make your production sound great not only in our room but to ensure optimal translation to the intended playback systems - from headphones, laptop speakers to home entertainment and all the way to theatres and immersive audio installations.
So what does Dolby Atmos really mean for the viewer?
Most discernibly, Dolby Atmos now adds height with ceiling speakers to the left-right and front-back that previous surround formats offered. This means a fully 3D sonic space can be created: planes flying over your head, birds chirping up in the trees, rain falling on top of the roof, etc. can all be achieved which was not possible before.
Secondly, and perhaps as important, the same mix can be reproduced in multiple different systems, with different amounts of speakers and channels; in surround sound systems, home entertainment sound bars, as well as binaural renders on headphones, and everything in between. It also allows for better translation of the mix from the mixing room to the listening room, as the system compensates for the differences of the rooms and speaker amount/placement.
In short, it means more immersive, realistic, and truly 3D mixes that automatically adjust and downmix to the various listening environments of the viewers.
To get your project into Dolby Atmos we offer:
+ Dolby Atmos Upmixing
With all major streaming platforms moving towards Atmos sound deliverables and having an Atmos mix becoming more and more relevant for achieving sales and distribution, upmixing existing projects to Atmos is becoming common practice.
So even if the original audio post-production has been completed in another multi-channel format, such as 5.1, we can upmix your film to comply with the Dolby Atmos specifications and distribution deliverables, while adding that extra oomph to your production that the technology allows for.
+ Dolby Atmos Home Entertainment
With home entertainment becoming evermore important for the industry, film creators and content consumers, producing your film natively in Dolby Atmos HE allows you to take full advantage of the storytelling and immersive potential of this technology, while complying with all the new deliverable specifications that the major streaming platforms are implementing.
It is for this purpose for which our bespoke room was specially designed for: creating an excellent sounding, comfortable and creative environment, but one that it is also translatable, so that you can create great sounding mixes that people will hear as you intended them to.
+ Dolby Atmos Theatrical
If what you are after is producing your film in Dolby Atmos for the cinema and all other platforms to take full advantage of this immersive and cutting edge technology, our team of sound supervisors, sound editors, sound designers, and dubbing mixers work together to undertake your entire audio post-production for Dolby Atmos Theatrical.
Our room is fitted to be fully compatible with large format dubbing cinemas, and doing the conception and pre-mix of the sound of your film in our more affordable facility allows us to keep the added cost of implementing this new technology into your productions to a minimum. We can then take your mix to one of the large format facilities and with this produce both your Home Entertainment and your Theatrical Atmos mix.
And don’t worry about the tech, deliverables, facility hires, etc. it will all be taken care of by us.
